Celebrate 22 years of Bike MS Country Roads. Join us for our 2-day destination ride. You have three to choose from: Road Route (75 miles each day), Lodge Loop (30 miles each day on road) and the Trail Trek (60 miles each day). We start in White Sulphur Springs, WV and ride up to Snowshoe Mountain.

INN AT SNOWSHOE GUESTS: This year we want give you the best experience possible so we've hired a Snowshoe Bus to pick you up at the Inn at 5:45pm on Saturday to take you up the Mountain for our Celebration Dinner and will take you back down to the Inn at 9:30pm (If dinner ends sooner, we will be sure to get you back down the Mountain in a timely manner). On Sunday morning, we've opened up breakfast at the Inn so you don't have to worry about traveling up the Mountain. You can leave your luggage near the front desk at the Inn and we will pick it up and have it waiting for you at The Greenbrier. Our Buses headed to Cass and Marlinton on Sunday morning will pick you up at approximately 7:15 so be ready for a great start to the second day of your adventure!

LODGE LOOP RIDERS: 
We have you scheduled for registration at Minnehaha Springs Bottling Plant, located on Oak Ave right beside Allegheny Lodge at 9:00 am and ready to start your journey at 10:00 am. You are welcome to pick up your packet during our packet pick up times at the Greenbrier Train Station, however, we ask that you please check in during at Allegheny Lodge at between 9:00 am - 10:00 am. You can drop off your luggage and we’ll take it to Snowshoe for you and return it to the Minnehaha Springs Bottling Plant on Sunday. If you would like to wait and take off with fellow riders doing the 75 mile route, please feel free as they will start passing through around 10:00 - 11:00 am. Saturday Morning August 25, 2012 Road and Trail Riders
Parking at the Greenbrier: You may park your car at The Greenbrier Guest Self-Parking area, which is at the Train Station directly across from The Greenbrier Resort main entrance. Drop off your luggage at the luggage truck (be sure to get luggage tag first from check-in)

6:00—7:30 am Check In/Packet Pick Up
At Train Station

6:00—7:30 am Small breakfast items available, water, Gatorade, and coffee also available.

Saturday Morning August 26, 2012 Lodge Loop Riders
Parking at Minnehaha Springs Bottling Plant, located on Oak Ave right beside Allegheny Lodge: You may park your car overnight at Minnehaha Springs Bottling Plant in the designated parking spaces. Drop off your luggage at Check-In (be sure to tag your luggage with the tag provided in your packet.

9:00 am—9:45 am Check In/Packet Pick Up with Rita Helmick

                1. Turn in your rider envelope
                2. Pick up your rider packet
                3. Pick up tax receipts, maps, agendas, etc.

Small breakfast items available, water, Gatorade, and coffee also available.  Carry on Lunch also available.

9:45 am Official Start line up. Announcements and Instructions
10:00 am  Official Start of Bike MS: Country Roads Lodge Loop_

Road Riders & Lodge Loop Riders Arrival at Cass Volunteer Fire House where you can store your bikes overnight. Snacks, water and Gatorade will be available for you.

Busses will leave from Cass and go up to Snowshoe Mountain. If a bus is not at least half full at leave time, they will wait for more riders to come through. You may have a short wait time while the bus returns.

Arrival at Snowshoe: The bus will either drop you off at the Inn at Snowshoe if you are staying there (your luggage will be there for you at the front desk) or at the Top of the World Check In. This is where, if you are staying at the top of the mountain, you will check in to get your room keys and retrieve your luggage. Buses will also be available if you want them to drop you off at your room destination.

Sunday August 26, 2012
6:00am—6:50 am Breakfast in the Expo Center. Morning Announcements will be made  periodically during breakfast.

Luggage Drop Off at the designated area in the Expo Center.
If you are staying at the Inn at Snowshoe, breakfast will be available at 6:30 and the buses will be picking you up at approximately 7:15.

6:50am—7:00 am Board buses for Cass and Marlinton. Note: Buses will only run once at 7:00 am. If you are not going to need the bus on Day 2, please let us know.
Arrival at Cass & Marlinton: Bike MS Day 2 Begins!
Lunch again will be served at Allegheny Lodge on the road and at Beard on the Trail.

Finish Line
Cross the finish line at the Train Station (Guest Self-Parking) at The Greenbrier. You may take your bikes to your car and pick up your luggage. Be sure to pick up your Bike MS Finish Medal and Commemorative Patch as you cool down with fresh water and Gatorade as well as cool towels.

Join us at the Finish Line Picnic hosted and sponsored by The Greenbrier at the Spring House (see map). You may either walk, ride, or use The Greenbrier shuttle service to get there.

Showers will be available at the Tennis Club in the locker rooms on the bottom floor of the facility. Showers are limited, but efficient. All toiletries and towels are provided by The Greenbrier all you will need are your personal items.

Massage Therapists will also be available at our Finish Line Picnic for $1 per minute paid directly to the therapists. All VIPs from 2011 will receive a certificate for a free massage!

Food will be available until our sweep riders/drivers pull through. We will leave no cyclist behind!!

All Volunteers are invited to the Finish Line Picnic!

Rooms are blocked at The Greenbrier on Sunday Evening if you choose to stay in White Sulphur Springs another night to rest up!

Accommodations:

Greenbrier: The Greenbrier has rooms blocked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $199/Night plus $35.00 resort fee and taxes. The Greenbrier will block the following amount of rooms:

Participants will have until July 11, 2012 to book a room at the special rate being offered. After that date, should they decide to book a room, they will need to book on-line at the prevailing rates.

Compare Inn & Suites, Covington, VA: This hotel actually has three hotels under the same umbrella. Google Maps indicates that is approximately 30 miles from the Greenbrier, but make sure you give yourself the time you need to get there. You can call 540.962.4951 to make reservations and let them know you are with the MS Bike Ride. We have 60 Rooms Blocked until August 5th and the rates are (plus tax): 

Quality Inn, Covington, VA: Google Maps indicates that is approximately 30 miles from the Greenbrier, but make sure you give yourself the time you need to get there. You can call 540.962.5888 to make reservations and let them know you are with the MS Bike Ride. We have 147 Rooms Blocked until July 17th (we may expand after this) and the rates are $99/night plus tax.

Greenbrier Youth Camp: The Greenbrier Youth Camp is located in the Monongahela National Forest, in Anthony, West Virginia.(10 miles North of Lewisburg on Highway 219) The camp is easily reached via I-81 and I-64 from the East and I-77 and I-64 from the West. You can stay at the GYC for $20/night per person. This is a lodging/camp facility so you would need to bring your own bedding and toiletries. If you are interested in staying at the camp, dinner will be available on Friday evening for $6 per person.

Be sure to book your overnight stay at Snowshoe!
Reservations are open for our Snowshoe Overnight. You can call 877.441.4386 to book your room. Be sure to mention the National MS Society so you are in our blocked rate rooms. Options Include:

Mountain Lodge: The Mountain Lodge does not have air conditioning. However, all rooms are equipped with a small kitchen and living area. If you have an additional person with you, the couch can serve as a good overnight option. The Mountain Lodge is also the same location as the Celebration Dinner and Breakfast.
1 bedroom - $130
2 bedroom - $199

Expedition Station: All units are air conditioned.  Junior studios and two-bedroom units are equipped with an efficiency kitchen.  Junior studios sleep 2-4 people, with a select few that only sleep 2 and some units will have a pull-down Murphy bed. Be sure to be specific in your requests if you have 4 in your room. Junior Studio - $119
2 bedroom - $200

Rimfire Junior Studio: All Rimfire junior studios have pull down murphy beds and air conditioning. Junior Studios sleep 2-4. Be sure to be specific in your requests if you have 4 in your room.

Inn at Snowshoe Hotel: Located at the base of the Mountain, NMSS staff will be able to transport you up and down the mountain for the Celebration Dinner and Breakfast. Standard one and two bedroom units are available. Amenities include an indoor pool and Jacuzzi to help relax your aching muscles!
Room Rate - $70
